Technical Helpdesk Engineer for our Solihull Site

We are looking for someone capable of supporting customers with basic diagnostics and providing information as needed. You will provide timely and accurate technical assistance to field and workshop-based employees, using remote and hands-on methods where required.
You will assist internal departments with creating estimates and quotations related to product repairs or maintenance.
This role is based in the Service department.
We seek candidates with the following knowledge and transferable skills:
- Be the first point of contact for technical support inquiries via phone or in person.
- Provide professional and accurate support to engineers and customers.
- Ensure all support calls are logged and resolved promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of product and support call details.
- Identify common failure modes and collaborate with relevant departments to improve products.
- Support the Service Office team on technical matters as needed.
- Review tank test and job sheet reports to provide technical support.
Administration duties include:
- Create detailed estimates and quotations.
- Support parts procurement for repairs and provide timescales for job completion.
- Provide feedback on engineer development needs.
- Deliver hands-on technical training as required to support theoretical learning.
- Ensure all required software is installed and functioning on engineer laptops.
- Use internal systems effectively and accurately.
- Support warranty meetings with evidence of in-life failures.
- Provide detailed findings and trend analyses of failures.
- Assist the Service Office team during busy periods.

Hours of Work: 39.5 hours per week, between 7 am - 5 pm on a 3-week rota (early, middle, late shifts). Some weekend work may be required on a rota basis, with specific dates to be confirmed upon appointment.
