Position Overview The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) Foreign Materiel Exploitation Squadron (GXF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is seeking a skilled Technical Editor to provide and support creation, revision, review and communication of technical reports, documents and products related to classified projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of military and aerospace terminology with ability to hold a TS SCI security clearance. Responsibilities Edit and proofread technical documents, reports, presentations, and other materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Collaborate with subject matter experts to refine content and ensure it meets mission requirements. Maintain style and formatting standards in accordance with NASIC and Air Force guidelines. Perform and support review, revision and creation of technical documentation for various audiences, including engineers, analysts, and decision-makers. Review and provide feedback on drafts, ensuring the integration of technical content while adhering to deadlines. Contribute to improving editorial processes and document management systems. Other related responsibilities in support of mission needs. Qualifications - Active TS/SCI clearance - Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a STEM/technical field relevant to technical editing or minimum of 8 years of experience performing technical editing or a closely-related work. - Familiarity with military and aerospace terminology. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and editing software. - Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Skills: - Master's degree relevant to or augmenting technical editing capabilities (relevant STEM, business, management-related programs, etc.) or significant (10+ years) technical editing experience. - Experience with classified materials and knowledge of security protocols. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Experience supporting and/or familiarity with foreign materiel exploitation mission and supporting organizations, concepts and technologies. Global Comp $89,175- $148,625 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
