Negotiate prices, terms, prepare contracts of sales and service agreements as it relates to new technical offerings and new chemical molecules. Prepare and negotiate long-term sales and distribution agreements with technical partners and end users. Cultivate relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and customers in biobased chemical space in order to expand market research and secure advantageous alliances and provide high level feedback for future meetings and technical collaborations. Answer customers' questions about product offerings, new molecules, provide prices and/or historical pricing. Tie that into market indicators and make assessments on future market pricing. Negotiate and quote prices with end users, review credit terms, and responsible for delegation and overall supervision of any bids or RFPs. Connect technically with R&D teams, product managers or end users to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging in order to communicate advantages of products to customers and work with the technology team to create these solutions tailored to the needs of the customer network. Review existing competitive technologies and provide SWOT analysis with market economic analyses and building long term strategic plans for future development and industry engagement. Prepare technical sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications, while also working with operations to ensure new molecules can be manufactured safely and efficiently. Verify that delivery schedules meet project deadlines. Analyze logistics and find and evaluate partnerships to lower COGS and help the financial impact of global logistics and overseeing Global logistics in Middle East, EU, S. and N. America specifically. Inform customers of technological benefits of purchased products by articulating unique value propositions of biobased chemical products in order to address customer needs and drive competitive differentiation. Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, mentor the non-technical sales team providing info such as selling strategies or marketing information. Provide customers with ongoing technical support. Evaluate industrial scale operations with customers to support the end user on product usage to improve production. Study documentation or other information for new scientific or technical products, predicting chemical distribution market shifts and foreseeing emerging trends, guiding strategic decision-making and ensuring proactive adaptation to industry and presenting technical documentation at shows. Attend sales or trade meetings as a technical leader and to read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, environmental regulations, or industry developments. Develop service contracts for technical or scientific products. Demonstrate the operation or use of technical or scientific products onsite with Customers to prove the concept of new molecules. Provide feedback to product R&D chemical teams so that products can be tailored to clients' needs. Arrange for installation and testing of products and machinery. Verify accuracy of internal and 3rd party lab analysis. Consult with internal engineers regarding technical problems with chemical offerings and work to limit the impact to the end user. Working in Chemical distribution with polysaccharide manipulation and polysaccharide functionalization processes in order to add functionality and value for the end-user and build technical and scientific molecules that are environmentally designed to limit the effects of harmful environmental exposure by synthetic chemicals. Present information to customers about the energy efficiency or environmental impact of scientific or technical products. Working in targeted market segmentation O&G, Mining, Home, Industrial &Institutional (HI&I), and Case (Coating, Adhesive, Sealents & Elasticers) and redirecting market shifts to include informing customer on biobased chemistry benefits as well as issues related to responsible use and disposal of products, and the long-term effects of synthetic chemicals on the environment and their processes. Will travel 30% US and/or Intl to meet with existing and/or prospective customers, implementation of technology and business development.
Two (2) years of experience in Job Offered or related. Experience must have included Predicting chemical distribution market shifts and foreseeing emerging trends, guiding strategic decision-making and ensuring proactive adaptation to industry; Working in targeted market segmentation O&G, Mining, Home, Industrial &Institutional (HI&I), and Case (Coating, Adhesive, Sealents & Elasticers) and redirecting market shifts to include informing customer on biobased chemistry benefits; Cultivate relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and customers in biobased chemical space in order to expand market research and secure advantageous alliances; Oversee Global logistics in Middle East, EU, S. and N. America specifically; Working in Chemical distribution with polysaccharide manipulation and polysaccharide functionalization processes in order to add functionality and value for the end-user; Articulate technical benefits and unique value propositions of biobased chemical products in order to address customer needs and drive competitive differentiation; Engage technically with R&D teams, product managers or end users to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging in order to communicate advantages of products to customers; and Building long term strategic plans for future development and industry engagement.
Requires Bachelors (or educ. equiv.) Degree in Natural Sciences, Chemistry or related field of study.
