What is your role?
As an Technical Art Director for Eleventh Hour Games, you will act as the bridge between an artist and a developer, making sure we are making the best technical choices, developing efficient pipelines and driving the performance and visual quality of our games. We're looking for an experienced leader with extensive technical knowledge and who is passionate about managing people and driving best practices across our team.
This role is ideal for someone who craves ownership and has strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal. The role requires excellent communication skills and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years creating assets for games in the video games industry
- 5+ years in a People Leadership role
- 5+ years of experience managing artist workflows
- Professional working experience with Unity (a plus if within past 3 years)
- Experience using Unity/Unreal, Blender/Maya, Photoshop/Illustrator
- Strong understanding of animation, particle systems, renderers, shaders as it pertains to Unity
- Experience with management practices, including team member feedback and evaluation processes
- Professional experience and passion for leading teams and growing skills/mentoring individuals
Responsibilities:
- Lead ongoing production of game ready assets related to animation, particle systems, Unity game objects, renderers, shaders
- Review and provide feedback for art assets
- Working with other Art Leadership to align goals and processes
- Design, build, and optimize pipelines used by associated teams to streamline and support production and implementation
- Ensure timely delivery of assets needed by other departments
- Provide fast, sustainable integration support for departments
- Work with the art team to push the graphic fidelity of Last Epoch further while improving game performance
