We seek an experienced
Digital Refining Consultant to lead business capability mapping and application architecture initiatives within the refining sector. This role is pivotal in aligning business processes with digital solutions, ensuring operational efficiency, and optimizing the technology landscape for refining operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement business capability maps to align digital solutions with refining business processes.
- Assess current application architectures and recommend improvements to enhance integration, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and refinery operations to define and refine digital transformation roadmaps.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in existing systems and recommend new technologies or process improvements.
- Ensure alignment of digital initiatives with overall enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
- Support the design and integration of applications for process optimization, asset management, and advanced analytics in refining operations.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to define key business capabilities, dependencies, and future-state architectures.
- Provide guidance on industry best practices and emerging trends in Digital Refining, IIoT, AI/ML, and cloud-based solutions.
- Develop documentation, including architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and business capability models.
Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in application architecture, business capability mapping, or enterprise architecture within the refining or broader energy sector.
- Strong understanding of refining processes, operational technologies, and digital transformation strategies.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and business process modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, IIoT, AI/ML, and other emerging technologies relevant to refining operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
- Proficiency in architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Visio, or equivalent).
- Experience with industry-specific applications such as AspenTech, AVEVA, Honeywell, or OSIsoft PI.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and cybersecurity considerations in refining.
- Certification in enterprise architecture or cloud solutions (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, ITIL).
