Tyler Technologies is currently seeking a Technical Analyst to support our Arkansas State Enterprise team. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for translating corporate business requirements into actionable IT plans and coordinates implementation efforts. This hybrid role encompasses both technical expertise and leadership, making the Technical Analyst instrumental in planning, scheduling, and managing IT-related initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with web development and exposure to AWS cloud services. AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer, are a plus but not required. The role also involves hardware and software installation, site maintenance, and supporting security frameworks and compliance policies.

Responsibilities
  • Gather technical project requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver, among other artifacts, a project statement, requirements, application architecture, and use cases.
  • Assist business units in ensuring responsible parties are adhering to industry best practices around security and complete the necessary compliance requirements.
  • Maintain observability, monitoring, and analytics to ensure the health and stability of critical infrastructure.
  • Serve as the conduit between the partner and the software development team through which requirements flow when necessary.
  • Develop project statements, requirement specifications, diagrams, application specification design documents, and use cases according to standard templates, using natural language and other techniques.
  • Assist staff with database design and detailed design documentation.
  • Work closely with developers, project managers, and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Participate in "on call" support coverage for escalated issues that may arise outside normal business hours.
  • May need to attend, conduct, organize, and/or host various meetings/events including but not limited to internal and external meetings, trainings, gatherings, etc. to ensure success for the company and our partners.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the manager.
  • Some travel may be required, primarily for team meetings, training, and partner site visits, with an estimated frequency of 5-10%.
