- GENERAL SUMMARY
- Supports the provision of diagnostic imaging services to accepted standards and protocols and assure patient safety during procedures.
- FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General Support:
- Assists technologist with general diagnostic work.
- Transports patients to and from the department.
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
- Manages the filing system for all diagnostic films, to include: filing, retrieving, and purging.
- Manages requests for release of films/images to another facility.
- Assits PAC's administrator with duties.
- Confirms patient's appointments for the next day.
- Administrative Support:
- Cross trains in all of the administrative functions of the department.
- Maintains working knowledge of the PAC's System.
- Demonstrates knowledge of CD Burning.
- Provides support for the department secretary as necessary, to include: answering the phone, scheduling procedures, and facilitating patient flow.
- Demonstrates competency in the use of the computer appointment scheduling system and the fax and beeper systems.
- Ensures all CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine patients have been protocoled by the Radiologist.
- Any other duties assigned by the Director of Radiology Services.
- Properly completes patient intake form.
