Position Overview

As a Cook at Zaxbys, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional experiences for our guests by preparing quality food efficiently and adhering to our high standards. Your responsibilities will include receiving and stocking inventory, cooking and assembling orders, and maintaining a clean kitchen while prioritizing food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all required training, including the Zaxbys Back of House Development Plan and any additional training mandated by Zax LLC.
  • Deliver friendly and enthusiastic service to every guest.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and exciting menu items.
  • Prepare and cook menu items safely and to company standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and kitchen areas.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock incoming deliveries.
  • Communicate any equipment or inventory needs to management.
  • Perform all duties efficiently and safely, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Availability to work between 32 to 40 hours per week.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, crawling, or climbing required.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for gripping and fine manipulation.
  • Effective communication skills in speech, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to perceive and respond to the environment effectively.
  • Work in varying temperatures and be mindful of food allergens.
  • Safe operation of kitchen equipment, including knives and fryers.
