A leading Property & Casualty Insurance company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee a team of Customer Service Representatives and Underwriters. In this role, you will be responsible for driving team performance, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of customer service representatives and underwriters.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and recognize and reward outstanding performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve team productivity and quality.
- Identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Customer Service: Ensure the team provides exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience.
- Underwriting: Review underwriting decisions made by team members, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on complex underwriting issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth policy issuance and claims processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, with a strong focus on customer service and underwriting.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and development.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
