OVERVIEW: DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks a dynamic, people-oriented leader to manage store operations effectively.
The Team Leader is responsible for promoting brand and operational excellence within their designated area of the store, ensuring every customer receives exceptional service. This role emphasizes teammate coaching, development, and overall well-being while focusing on financial performance and strategic planning.
- Oversee the daily operational responsibilities of the store department.
- Assist in strategic planning and organization in collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Engage with the community to recruit talent and support initiatives that benefit teammates.
- Collaborate with leadership to build an inclusive and diverse workforce, managing staffing needs, payroll budgets, and schedules effectively.
- Ensure the team adheres to operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service goals, and company policies.
- Reduce shrinkage by following safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures diligently.
- Communicate openly and employ creative strategies to foster a positive work environment.
- Demonstrate a passion for coaching and personal development, integrating learning into daily leadership activities.
- Promote an inclusive store atmosphere where all individuals (teammates and customers) feel safe, valued, and respected.
QUALIFICATIONS: - 1-3 years of experience in retail management or customer service roles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Targeted Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $83,600.00. This position offers a competitive total rewards package, which may include incentives, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is based on experience, location, internal pay equity, and relevant business factors. We regularly review teammate compensation to maintain competitive and equitable salaries.
