JOB OVERVIEW The
Shelter Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales initiatives within our shelter partnerships. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering relationships with shelter partners to promote our pet insurance products. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for animal welfare.
RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of shelter sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure team success.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive growth within our shelter partnerships.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with animal shelters, understanding their needs and working collaboratively to promote our pet insurance products.
- Sales Training: Conduct regular training sessions for shelter sales representatives to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and understanding of the pet insurance market.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports on sales activities, team performance, and partnership outcomes.
- Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of sales programs and initiatives within shelters, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with new pet owners at shelters, educating them on the benefits of pet insurance and assisting them in selecting the best coverage options for their pets.
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from shelter partners and customers, using insights to continuously improve sales strategies and product offerings.
REQUIRED SKILLS - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the insurance or pet-related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to promoting the health and well-being of pets.
- Knowledge of pet insurance products and the animal shelter environment is a plus.
