Summary:
Amazon is a highly data-driven company passionate about its customers. It is vital to ensure customers always receive their orders on time and with quality. The processes at the fulfillment centers (FCs) are largely manual, involving many associates. A critical role is that of a Team Leader, who acts as a mentor and guide to associates to meet customer expectations by following standard work practices, keeping safety and quality in mind.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily management of shift
- Administrative management of associates
- Job allocation to associates
- Monitoring and mentoring associates on productivity, quality, and safety
- Analyzing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
- Monitoring the status of problem-solving queues
- Ensuring shift quality and implementing action plans
- Preparing and executing training and development plans for associates
- Conducting daily 4M and 5S audits at work stations
- Implementing process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
- Defining the transportation process from FC to FC/RSC
- Ensuring sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team for peak-time delivery management
- Continuously improving throughput and sustaining delivery performance
- Serving as a stand-in for the Area Manager
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an operational role
