Role Summary:
The Team Lead, Account Manager will be responsible for managing the Account Manager's pipelines and client relationships with the Account Executive they partner with. The Account Manager Team Lead's role is to facilitate the movement of loans in the entire pipeline, from submission to funding, so that loans are funded as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Account Managers to proactively drive loans through the pipeline, ensuring timely closings and meeting pull-through ratio goals.
- Oversee daily team operations by streamlining workflows to reduce processing time, improve accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop high-performing Account Managers to ensure consistent, scalable performance and professional growth.
- Champion and exemplify the company's culture, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and customer-first environment.
- Mentor team members in building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external broker partners.
- Monitor individual pipelines to ensure each Account Manager's workload is appropriately aligned with their skills, experience, and capacity.
- Conduct regular pipeline management reviews to ensure all files are advancing appropriately, broker follow-up is timely, communication is documented, and closing timelines are clearly established and met.
- Analyze and refine current processes and procedures based on team feedback and performance data, identifying opportunities for increased speed and effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a focus on maximizing operational results and broker satisfaction.
- Provide senior management with clear, actionable updates on pipeline health, service issues, and any risks to funding quality or customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Account Managers to set and achieve monthly funding goals, ensuring consistent execution of follow-up plans and milestone tracking.
- Maintain close communication and alignment with Sales Managers, Account Executives, Brokers, and cross-functional partners to support seamless loan processing and a best-in-class experience.
Essential Job Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Agency, Non-Agency, Jumbo, and Investor loan programs, and requirements
- Thorough understanding of loan pricing and lock requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage pipelines with a high pull-through ratio.
- Ability to review daily pipeline reports and prioritize the tasks needing completion in order to move loans through the pipeline to funding.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in the residential lending industry
- 5 years of Account Management experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
