Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns
- Lead proactive tax planning and advisory conversations with clients
- Develop and implement custom tax strategies to align with business and personal goals
- Collaborate with clients to understand financial objectives
- Mentor junior staff and support a culture of learning
- Communicate tax law changes and their implications to clients and team
- Identify and recommend process improvements and technology tools
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Foster long-term client relationships built on trust and expertise
You should have most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license required
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience focused on tax
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing returns for businesses, individuals, and partnerships
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
- Comfortable using tax software and cloud-based accounting platforms
- Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership ambitions
