Job Details- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Manage tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, compliance, and review
- Research and analyze complex tax issues, and prepare clear, concise documentation
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants and interns, providing training and feedback
- Communicate directly with clients to provide tax planning and consulting services
- Stay current with federal and state tax laws and developments
- Assist with IRS and state audits or notices as needed
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal tax processes
Qualifications
- CPA license (or actively pursuing with all parts passed)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation a plus
- 3-5 years of recent experience in public accounting, with a tax focus
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax codes
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
