Tax Preparer (Part-Time)
Encino, CA (onsite)
Are you looking to workto support a small CPA firm as a tax reviewer for 3 days a week 24 hours a week? Do you have at least five years of experience reviewing tax returns for small businesses and individuals using Lacerte software? We are looking for a tax professional to support a nice team in Encino, CA. This role would be an onsite position. Job Responsibilities:
- Tax Return Review: Thoroughly review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Quality Control: Identify and correct errors, discrepancies, and omissions in tax returns, as well as ensure that all tax calculations are accurate.
- Tax Planning: Provide tax planning strategies and recommendations to clients and tax preparers to optimize their tax positions.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, clarify tax-related queries, and build strong client relationships.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring that all tax returns are in line with the latest standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in tax return preparation and review, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and rectify tax-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members effectively.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to staying current with changes in tax laws and regulations.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $45.00 per hour
