A bit about us:Our client is a well-established and respected CPA firm out of Orland Park, Il and for decades, they have been servicing clients in many different industries located throughout Illinois including the west and southwest suburbs of Chicago.
They provide a wide range of tax, financial and business services for not only business but individuals as well and have a solid reputation in the industry.
Currently they are looking for a Tax preparer with 3+ years of experience who can work out of their office in Orland Park, IL.

Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Preparation of both business and individual tax returns
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist clients with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data for audits and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with SOX and GAAP
- Provide support for financial audits and assist in the implementation of audit recommendations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in taxation for both individual and corporate entities
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial services software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical sand problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements and GAAP standards
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement analysis
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
