Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation and review of federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041).
2. Provide tax planning and consulting to high-net-worth clients on estate, trust, and gift tax issues.
3. Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive Private Client Services.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to provide exceptional client service.
5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tax laws to provide accurate and relevant advice.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
7. Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
8. Mentor, guide, and review work of junior team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust, estate, and gift tax planning and compliance.
4. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Forms 706, 709, and 1041.
5. Prior experience working with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and private client services (PCS) is preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts, estates, and gifts.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
