We are a growing Public Accounting firm with over 110 employees across 7 locations. For more than 70 years we've helped clients, both big and small, in virtually every sector. We've collaborated with them on everything from managing payroll to paying the right amount of tax, from expansion plans like mergers and acquisitions to succession planning, and valuation.

We are hiring for a Senior Tax Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be technically competent with expert knowledge and experience in one or more specialties, as well as a team leader. If you bring 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting and have a CPA license, we want to speak with you.

Are you a seasoned Tax Manager with a passion for unraveling the complexities of tax laws and regulations? Are you excited by the opportunity to leverage your expertise in tax planning, business succession, and executive compensation analysis to help businesses and individuals optimize their financial future? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our dynamic and innovative accounting and finance team.

As a Permanent Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive tax services, ensuring compliance, and offering strategic tax planning advice to our diverse client base. This role requires an individual with a strong background in public accounting, tax review, and real estate transaction analysis. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tax returns, including personal, business, retirement, and estate planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and estates.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice and recommendations to help clients optimize their tax position.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns and identify potential issues or opportunities for tax savings.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations and ensure all tax services are compliant.
  • Provide expert advice on inheritance planning, executive compensation analysis, and real estate transaction analysis.
  • Develop and implement effective family and business succession plans.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to provide a comprehensive financial service to clients.
  • Communicate complex tax strategies in a clear, understandable manner to clients.

Qualifications:

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a strong focus on tax.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns.
  • Experience in inheritance advice and planning, executive compensation analysis, and real estate transaction analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability in family and business succession planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development in the ever-changing field of tax.
