Job DetailsThe Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial insights and projections to support the company's decision-making processes. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and developing financial models to help the retail company achieve its financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process
- Build and maintain financial models utilized for decision support.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc analysis and special projects.
- Familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects, PowerBI,)
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
