About the Role

A $5B Global Manufacturer is on the hunt for a sharp, strategic tax professional to step into the role of Manager of Global Income Tax Accounting & U.S. Compliance . This position is central to leading global ASC 740 reporting, managing consolidations, and driving U.S. tax compliance.

You'll work across borders and business units, partnering with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant reporting of operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead quarterly and annual global income tax reporting under U.S. GAAP, including effective tax rate forecasting, consolidations, and internal controls.
  • Research complex tax issues across jurisdictions-domestic and international-with accuracy and speed.
  • Draft and review ASC 740 technical memos that support strategic tax positions.
  • Update and enhance tax accounting policies and controls to ensure timely identification and reporting of material matters.
  • Collaborate with internal control teams and external advisors to align on complex provision matters.
  • Calculate the worldwide effective tax rate and entity-level provisions under ASC 740.
  • Analyze GL tax accounts, including current/deferred tax expenses, payables, DTAs/DTLs, and uncertain tax positions.
  • Reconcile provision-to-return calculations and verify tax basis balance sheets for audit-ready accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed tax footnotes and financial disclosures-tie-outs included.
  • Oversee third-party service providers in preparing U.S. tax returns, including reconciliations and roll-forwards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on tax matters-manage timelines, scope, and closeouts.
  • Analyze the tax implications of new legislation and global transactions.
  • Collaborate with global planning and transfer pricing teams to optimize tax outcomes, cash flow, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain a responsive, technically strong tax function that supports strategic business decisions.
  • Support team development and pursue learning opportunities in international tax, planning, and transfer pricing.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. MBA, MST, or LLM with a tax emphasis strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a global public company tax team and/or Big 4 or similar public accounting firm.
  • Proven expertise in U.S. and international tax reporting in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Deep understanding of ASC 740, tax risk assessment, and process improvement.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong strategic thinking and prioritization skills.
  • Experienced in preparing polished, insight-driven reporting and dashboards.
  • Ability to collaborate across global time zones-communication and flexibility are key.
  • Comfortable managing complex, multi-region tax issues and corporate structures.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong command of tax/accounting systems and modeling tools.
  • Adept at navigating matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Calm under pressure, results-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Excellent communicator with leadership presence and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Solution-driven mindset with a proactive approach to elevating issues and driving change.
