Tax Manager Job Description

The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related activities for our organization. This includes ensuring compliance with all tax laws, preparing and filing tax returns, and providing guidance and advice on tax strategies. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, possess a CPA certification, and have experience in various tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 1041, Gift, Trust & Estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely
  • Provide guidance and advice on tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Manage and lead a team of tax professionals
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities
  • Communicate with government agencies and tax authorities on behalf of the organization
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Train and develop team members on tax laws and procedures

Qualifications:
  • CPA certification is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 1041, Gift, Trust & Estate
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic tax advice
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office
