Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager, CPA or EA, you will be integral to our firm's continued growth and success. You'll work directly with various individuals and businesses, providing tax preparation, planning, and advisory services. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong accounting background who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll collaborate closely with clients, providing them with strategic guidance and tax solutions to meet their goals year-round.
- Tax Preparation & Compliance: Manage and prepare individual and business tax returns (C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and high-net-worth individuals).
- Tax Planning & Strategy: Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services to ensure clients minimize their tax liability and optimize their financial situation.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor for tax and accounting-related matters.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Oversee and mentor junior staff, helping develop their technical and professional skills while ensuring accurate and timely deliverables.
- Review & Compilation Services: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements for clients, including real estate portfolios and entertainment businesses.
- Off-Season Focus: Take on key planning projects during the off-season, ensuring clients are well-prepared for future tax seasons and offering proactive advice for both business and individual needs.
- Research & Technical Support: Stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws and regulations to offer the most relevant and effective advice to clients.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years in public accounting
- In-depth knowledge of individual and business tax returns, tax planning
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, real estate clients, and/or entertainment industry clients is a plus.
- CPA or EA
- Proactive Mindset: Ability to identify opportunities for tax optimization and business planning for clients.
