Tax Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Tax Manager for a regional Public Accounting firm. This firm provides exceptional tax, audit, and advisory services to a diverse client base. Ideal candidates will have 5-8 years of experience and have an active CPA. This position is a hybrid role and will pay between $90K and $105K annually.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation to provide informed guidance to clients and staff.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive and integrated services to clients.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal preparation, to attract new clients and expand the firm's tax practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
