Job Overview - Tax Manager (Hybrid):

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000/year + bonus

Location: Chester, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)


Atlantic Group is hiring a Tax Manager for our client in Chester, PA (Hybrid) to lead U.S. federal and partnership tax compliance, support ASC 740 tax provision processes, and drive tax planning initiatives. This role is ideal for a tax professional with expertise in federal, state, and international reporting, focused on improving tax workflows and supporting strategic business transactions through technical leadership and process optimization.


Responsibilities as the Tax Manager:

  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal C-corporation and partnership returns (Forms 1120, 1065), estimates, and extensions.
  • Tax Provision Support: Assist with quarterly and year-end ASC 740 tax provision processes and return-to-accrual adjustments.
  • Tax Planning & Advisory: Support business decisions, restructurings, and transactions to optimize tax outcomes.
  • Regulatory Communication: Draft responses to tax authority notices and manage tax information requests.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process enhancements leveraging tax technology to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Research & International Support: Conduct tax research, interpret policies, and assist with U.S. international and state tax compliance (Forms 5471, 8858).

Qualifications for the Tax Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant tax experience within a Big 4, regional accounting firm, or multinational corporate tax department.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax compliance and consolidation with experience in SAP, BPC, OneSource, and proficiency in Alteryx, Excel, and Power BI to streamline tax workflows.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong research, analysis, and communication skills with the ability to present findings through discussions, presentations, and technical memoranda.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of complex transaction reporting, international tax compliance, and multi-state tax issues.
