We are partnering with a leading Atlanta-based company in their search for an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing organization. Role Overview:
The Tax Manager will be a strategic leader responsible for evaluating and refining the company's current tax model, assessing the balance between outsourcing and in-house tax functions, and overseeing the entire tax function. This includes tax compliance, provision, research, strategic planning, and audit management. The ideal candidate will also identify opportunities to drive tax savings, credits, and other initiatives that positively impact the bottom line. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development and implementation of tax strategies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Oversee the full range of tax functions including tax compliance, tax provision, research, planning, and audit management.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, and efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend the right balance between in-house tax resources and outsourcing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage complex tax issues and drive initiatives to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax filings, tax provisions, and related documentation.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation required.
  • Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • 6-9+ years of relevant corporate tax experience, with a proven track record of managing tax functions for large companies.
  • Prior experience in public accounting highly preferred.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to assess tax models and align tax strategy with business goals.
  • Deep knowledge of tax compliance, provision, research, tax credits, and planning.
  • Demonstrated history of job stability and career progression.
