This well-established CPA firm is hiring a Tax Manager who's ready to bring their technical expertise and leadership mindset to a team that values collaboration, balance, and high-quality client service.
Here's why this opportunity stands out:
- You'll lead the charge on complex returns-1040s, 1120s, 1065s, and 1041s (but no 990s)-and guide a team that thrives on doing things the right way, not the rushed way.
- There's no "one-size-fits-all" schedule here. Some folks start early, others later-the hours are flexible. Expect a busy season that peaks at 55 hours/week in March (not 70+), and enjoy Fridays off in June and July to recharge.
- They'll want you in the office to start, but once you're settled in and trust is built, you can work remotely up to 2 days per week.
- Oh-and one of the Partners is planning to transition out over the coming years. They're looking for someone with the potential (and desire) to eventually step into that seat.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Deep review experience across a variety of return types
- Confidence leading engagements and mentoring staff
- CPA license (or very close to it)
- A track record of steady tenure and growth in previous roles
The firm itself is boutique in size but big on impact. You'll work with a diverse group of clients-everything from single-owner S Corps to multi-state entities-without feeling like a cog in a giant machine.
