SUMMARY The Tax Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting with regulatory REIT compliance. This position will also coordinate with other members of the tax department to prepare federal, state, and local tax returns as well as corresponding income tax provisions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Detail review of quarterly and annual REIT compliance testing calculations and workpapers. Prepare/review dividend distribution analysis and related reporting. Assist in preparation of required 10K footnoted and disclosures. Prepare tax workpapers in support of income tax return compliance. Prepare estimated tax payments, computation of taxes due, and reporting. Prepare tax account reconciliations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Experience: 0 to 3 years of tax experience in a CPA firm or in a corporate tax department is desired. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Professional certification such as CPA preferred or strong desire to pursue. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
