What You'll Do:
- Prepare or assist in preparing business, estate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns (no personal returns)
- Review financial documents, income statements, and expenditures to determine proper filing strategies
- Interview clients to understand their financial picture and provide sound tax planning guidance
- Conduct audits (e.g., homeowner associations) in compliance with Florida standards
- Use tax software and e-filing systems to enter and review returns accurately
- Research tax laws as needed to ensure compliance and minimize client liability
- Communicate proactively with clients to address discrepancies and resolve issues
- Support internal quality control by reviewing documents and assisting tax prep specialists
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
- 2-4 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and professional tax preparation software
- Experience with nonprofit, estate, partnership, or corporate returns
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred - if not currently certified, we offer incentive and support toward obtaining it
