Position Title: Task Order 8003 Lead Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Task Order 8003 Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Be responsible for day-to-day operations of the IRES IT Service Delivery task order providing sustainment and engineering support the MDA.
• Be a self-directed and proactive leader, who will be responsible for assisting the STIM with the Operations and Financial reporting and deliverables for ITSD in support of the MDA.
• Optimized customer visibility, managing priorities, standardizing requirements, conduct task order cost accounting and forecasting and managing throughput.
• Help identify the best practices for repeating and standardizing critical workflows and providing guidance on how to best approach new technology integration. Duties for this position include:
• Successful execution of task order scope, to include sustainment activities and engineering projects necessary to meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Execution of Control Account management (CAM) responsibilities including budget tracking, detail planning, and execution of the integrated schedule and associated budget in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) direction and best practices for multiple control accounts.
• Foster a productive and effective relationship with the Contracting Officer (COTR) or Assistant COTR, providing insight into TO performance.
• Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews of the TO and report technical, cost and schedule status to the COTR on a monthly basis.
• Coordination with the customer to support proper prioritization of efforts based on budgetary and resource constraints, practicing flexibility in changing priorities.
• Serving as primary interface between contract and government customers/leadership.
• Serving as the voice of the Customer in contract and organizational discussion
• Leading an integrated approach to the execution of activities requiring different internal and external teams or organizations to ensure effective operational support to the customers' requirements.
• Possess the ability to recognize, develop and maintain business relationships vital to the success of task order execution.
• Responsible for team management functions, to include timecard approvals, staffing and performance management.
• Develop presentations and brief stakeholders as required to ensure clear and concise messaging throughout the communications cycle.
• Effectively communicate and manage expectations with team members and customer stakeholders. The successful candidate will:
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment to assist teams in supporting ITSD in a way that systematically accomplishes technical and financial objectives for a high-profile customer
• Have proven experience with strong analytical and leadership skills. Coach and mentor staff, providing regular feedback and formal written performance evaluations of staff, establishing norms for effective teamwork, creating a culture where members feel safe to share perspectives and ideas.
• Be knowledgeable in project management methodology for both small- and large-scale efforts. Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 12 years of general experience; Master's degree and 10 years of general experience.
• Must have 8 years of directly related experience
• Must have 5 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and successfully lead teams with a track record of collaboration, teaming and communication amongst peers, management and stakeholders
• Must have demonstrated understanding of planning and managing complex resources against constraints
• Must have experience with use of MS Office applications, as well as Project and Visio
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience at presentation development and delivery to senior leadership
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements:
• Have experience successfully interfacing with government customers and senior leaders
• Have a demonstrated understanding of the traditional Project Management Lifecycle, to include stakeholder management, and the Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Have demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management and/or Control Account Management functions
• Have an active Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
• Have experience with Microsoft Project and Visio This position is expected to pay $136,800 - $161,800 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
