Position Summary
Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) will be working in collaboration with the Govt of Maharashtra for state-wide implementation of its flagship programme "Mulyavardhan' in all govt and govt aided schools. SMF is looking for individuals with excellent coordination skills and prior experience of working with the Govt. system, preferably school education sector, to lead the programme at the block level. The Taluka Coordinator will directly work with block level government functionaries for program activities in the block and ensure that the programme outcomes are met.
Ø Teacher Training
o Prepare a block level training plan in consultation with block level officials and District Programme coordinator
For Teachers- Mulyavardhan concept, content/ materials, pedagogy/ teaching learning practices etc.
For block/cluster level officials - Mulyavardhan concept, materials, pedagogy/ teaching learning practices, classroom observation and teacher feedback.
o Coordinate with block level officials and ensure that all material such as MV books, manuals, presentations, and digital content are available in the training.
o Ensure 100% attendance and active participation of teachers in the training programme in collaboration with block and cluster level officials.
o Facilitate and support to ensure training programme arrangements.
o Coordinate with DRG members/ MV Preraks to ensure delivery of quality teacher training.
Ø Programme Implementation and Quality
o Academic Support
Conduct regular school visits to extend academic support to the Mulyavardhan (MV) teachers by conducting classroom observations and providing constructive feedback
Conduct joint visits with CRC/BRC to provide mentor support on classroom observations and constructive feedback
Support DRG members/ MV Preraks and CRCs to conduct structured cluster level teacher meetings (Shikshan Parishad) and ensure quality.
Collect and document program classroom observation and data in the prescribed format in a timely manner.
Create/enable Whatsapp groups for block/cluster level officials and teachers to
Share the appropriate academic material (print and audio visual)
Facilitate meaningful programmatic discussions/interactions among the teachers
o Monitoring and review
Develop a workplan for the Taluka and ensure implementation.
Coordinate with block/cluster level officials to ensure timely distribution of MV materials to the schools.
Identify programme quality issues block/cluster wise with the help of data/dashboards
As a responsible team member, develop and manage good working relations with block (taluka) level government officials and staff.
Actively participate and share/discuss block level progress and issues in SMF district level review meetings with help of data/dashboard
Facilitate and support block level officials in conducting MV review meetings and workshops with the help of data/dashboards
Identify taluka level support requirement and discuss with HO team for necessary support
Support schools/teachers to conduct the SMS/Parent teacher meetings with MV as agenda point
Ø Documentation and Communications
o Identify potential good practises and case studies in prescribed format.
o Report regularly informing district program coordinators by generating weekly, monthly Progress Reports, Quarterly Progress Reports, and Document and maintain the records of the block and cluster level meetings.
o Ensure all the communication material to reach all the appropriate stake holders on time.
o Identify and provide necessary information on good practices, case studies and success stories in prescribed format to DPCs for documentation. Support DPCs and HO team in documentation of the same.
o Perform any additional tasks assigned by management based on program needs.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree.
At least 2-3 years of programme coordination experience preferably in primary/elementary education or working with NGOs, INGOs, CSOs, and/or CSRs
Understanding on Government system of working
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hindi/Marathi language is needed.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Poer point), Google Apps
Good people management and negotiation skills
Excellent team spirit and a positive attitude.
Readiness to travel regularly in the assigned block and sometimes to the District HO or State HO.
Own a vehicle and possess a driving license
Preference will be given to candidates from the same Talukas.
