What You'll do

As a Talent Management Specialist, you will be playing an instrumental role in developing, managing, and coordinating efforts to identify and develop talent. This role will own and execute the talent management calendar ensuring Rural King stays on track with performance and potential calibrations, 9Box reviews, advanced leadership programs, and succession planning. This is a hands-on role for an individual who can build strong working relationships and processes to ensure Rural King has a strong pipeline of talent to lead them into the future.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of the talent review process required to achieve Rural King goals and results in creating an internal pipeline of top talent.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to inform targeted development (e.g. succession planning).
  • Research and assist in advancing performance management programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead the assessment, selection, and on-going strategic partnership with external vendors.
  • Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for leadership development, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Develop and facilitate presentations and training.
  • Ensure Rural King talent management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate ability to work efficiently and accurately in time-sensitive matters while staying organized to simultaneously manage and track multiple priorities.
  • Create, analyze, and report on talent metrics; identify key insights to inform future action planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including executive and senior leadership teams, to conduct assessment of talent and development needs.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success
  • At least 3 years of talent management or talent development experience or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn talent management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $56,000 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
