Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development for its Washington, D.C. office. This role reports to the local Talent Acquisition & Development Manager and supports all aspects of attorney recruiting and development programs.


Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Coordinate campus recruiting events, summer associate training programs, and social activities.
  • Schedule interviews, manage candidate follow-up, prepare hiring committee materials, and coordinate work assignments and onboarding for summer associates.
  • Collaborate with lateral and staff recruiting teams to support the onboarding of new talent.
  • Partner with global Talent Acquisition teams on firmwide initiatives and programs.

Talent Development:

  • Coordinate local Talent Development Committee meetings, events, and attorney training programs.
  • Work with global Talent Development teams to implement firmwide directives, including coaching programs and training academies.
  • Support local performance management processes, including performance approvals, reporting, and meetings.

Talent Management:

  • Assist with the onboarding and integration of all new attorney hires.
  • Generate reports and provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Attend and support firm events, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Travel as required for programs and initiatives.
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned.

Required Proficiencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience coordinating training programs and events.
  • Basic understanding of legal recruiting, attorney development practices, and professional development philosophies.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting, or professional development (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).
