Responsibilities: Senior Level Technical Engineer

Successful candidate will be based in the Kennesaw office to support internal and client technology needs from help desk to infrastructure.

As a Tier 3 Technician you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT environments. Your role would encompass a blend of fieldwork, technical support, consulting, and project collaboration. Beyond resolving day-to-day IT issues, you will act as a trusted consultant to our clients, building strong relationships with their teams and gaining a deep understanding of their organization. Your ability to learn the nuances of each client's operations will enable you to provide tailored recommendations and implement IT solutions that enhance their organizational efficiency and growth. Additionally, you will contribute to larger-scale projects and mentor junior staff, leveraging your expertise to drive continuous improvement both within ServIT and for our clients.

Technician must be well versed in all stages of technology to support and assist technical staff. The Senior Engineer has hands-on responsibilities, providing top tier support and knowledge sharing in all technological aspects located in house and at customer sites. This is a technology position with direct responsibility for the engineering, up-time, and integrity of customer environments, specializing in Intel virtualization, Desktop/Server systems and LAN/WAN appliances.

Requirements

Applicant must have a minimum 5+ years' experience with actual implementation of all systems.

Key Skills Required:

Senior level of experience of business collaboration suites such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2013/2016, Microsoft Office365 or Lotus Notes v8+.

Senior level of experience with one or more network vendors such as Cisco, SonicWALL, WatchGuard and Meraki.

Senior level of experience with hyper visor technologies including VMWare and/or Microsoft Hyper-V

Senior level of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 operating systems including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, RRAS and RDP roles and services.

Advanced level of experience in using and supporting Solarwinds including NPM, NTA, SAM and LEM modules, Support of N-Able.

Advanced level of experience with Network Management in the setup and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless technologies. This is to include a high level of understanding of Internet Carrier technologies including DSL, PRI, Frame-Relay and protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF

Advanced level of experience with LAN/WAN; TCIP/IP, VLAN and VPN technologies (this includes building and supporting site to site tunnels with an advanced level of understanding of most VPN protocols.

High level of experience with SAN/NAS technologies including disk array management and the creation and maintenance of LUN's.

Experience with hardware vendors such as HP, Dell, IBM and Lenovo in component level repair of servers, workstations, printers and business peripherals.

Working knowledge of SQL databases and creating SQL queries.

Understanding of IT security concepts with a strong understanding of NTFS file security and Share permissions.

Ability to work with other teams and act as a mentor to Tier I/II Engineers.

Occasional short travel assignments to customer locations may be required.

Salary Description

$85,000-$95,000 Annually plus benefits
