JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, provides technical assistance for computer systems, and users in response to inquiries and requests for service; resolves computer problems and answers questions in-person, via telephone or from a remote location; instructs users in the proper operation of hardware and software; installs hardware and software and; performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Exercises no supervision.

Essential Functions: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Resolve computer system and individual pc operational issues by responding to requests for service and user inquiries in a timely manner, determining the exact nature of the problem and performing the necessary repairs in order to ensure continued access to information.

Ensure the uninterrupted operation of personal computers, components and peripherals by performing preventative maintenance on a predetermined schedule in order to maintain equipment in top working order.

Identify operating errors by performing routine diagnostics in order to determine if the problem is related to the memory, disk storage, software, network or other areas of IT functioning to minimize system/computer down time.

Install company-approved operating systems, software, hardware and peripherals by following the instructions provided by the manufacturer in user manuals and other venues; observe the execution of loaded programs, to ensure accurate, error-free operation.

Replace faulty circuit boards and other malfunctioning components in personal computers and peripherals as necessary; perform upgrades by installing additional memory boards to ensure that equipment is operating at maximum efficiency.

Support system administration by setting up systems for users, including network logins, accounts, passwords, email, remote access and internet service in order to provide efficient technology services for end users.

Educate end users in the operation of equipment in their area of assignment by developing training materials and instructing them in the proper use on hardware and/or software in order to improve company-wide productivity and efficiency.

Create a historical record of departmental activities by maintaining documentation of communication transactions, problems/resolutions, installations and other actions taken on a daily basis in order to track services requested and provided.

Participate in company IT projects by performing research, analysis, design and development of modifications as directed in order to establish requirements for new or revised systems.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must be able to obtain Gaming Employee Registration in the State of Nevada.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
