Job Summary:

This full-time non-exempt position under the general supervision of the IT Director will assist the IT Department in day-to-day support of department operations.

Responsibilities:

- Provide helpdesk support for data network users

- Performing on-site hardware and software moves, additions, maintenance and changes

- Ensuring the data network and all related equipment are in working order

- Providing efficient response and repairs to all trouble reports related to the communications network

- Maintaining camera and card access systems

- Supporting facilities with cell phones and gps systems

- Maintaining records on repairs, down time, changes and updates

- Maintaining the onboarding and offboarding process

- Logging all service requests and updating tickets as needed

- Supporting vendor relationships

- Completing other duties as assigned by the IT Director

Qualifications:
Network security, applications installation, distributing software upgrades, and monitoring daily activity and enforcing licensing agreements.

Abilities:

- Handling multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision

- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

- Be a team player

- Maintain accurate and timely records

- Have one's own reliable vehicular transportation and be willing to travel regionall

- Be available via cell to assist with the IT Department's 24/7 support of the network and communication systems

- Operating systems, including WINDOWS 10,11 and Windows Server 2016,2019

- Maintain a clearance through the NJ Department of Corrections and the federal Bureau of Prison

- Methods, materials, tools and practices used to install, maintain and enhance information system functions including the network, workstations, servers, and telephony peripherals

- Operation, capabilities and relationship of microcomputers, telephone and attached peripherals in both stand-alone and LAN environments

- Troubleshooting methods, practices and documentation used in network, workstations, software and hardware malfunctions, including techniques in problem resolution, Information systems and modern technological practices

Education and Certifications:

An associate's degree or its equivalent is preferred with a minimum of two years of computer and network experience. Certifications are helpful.
