Kelly Engineering is seeking a Systems Quality Engineer to join one of our leading clients in the Aviation/Aerospace/Materials manufacturing industry at their Havre de Grace, MD location.

Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's level degree in an engineering field of discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing (preferred: aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites industries)
- 4-6 years' experience with ISO 9001 and or AS9100 quality systems
- Experience using six-sigma tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and chemical and/or mechanical testing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality improvement initiatives: active participant in defect reduction endeavors as they relate to Supplier/ In-House defect origination as well as attributed to Process Capability deficiencies
- Technical engineering discipline in a high-volume engineered materials (adhesives) manufacturing facility
- Supports the Maintenance, improvements and sustainability of our AS9100 Quality Management System
- Monitoring product performance via the current Operational metrics: initiate corrective action programs to address unfavorable trends
- Host External auditors and support for customer visits and meetings
- Participant in our internal audit program
- Quality liaison to Customer Support, Operations, Technical Services and Sales teams
- Support to Calibration and Receiving Inspection processes and teams
- Actively support Safety improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's level degree in an engineering field of discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Six Sigma Greenbelt
- Certification from ASQ
- Experience in aerospace chemicals, coatings, plastics, adhesives or composites industries
- Experience working in a unionized environment
- College level algebra and statistics
