Systems Engineer
Location: Reston About the Role:
An opportunity with a mission-critical IC Sponsor for a Systems Engineer position.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting full lifecycle systems engineering
efforts. A Full-Scope Polygraph is required - no exceptions. Responsibilities: Execute software life-cycle processes including requirements analysis, architecture definition, software design, development oversight, and automated testing Perform data analysis and design inspection to solve element and system-level issues Communicate engineering requirements to developers Collaborate on solutions to overcome implementation constraints Serve as an effective liaison between the detailed tasking performed by the engineers and technical leadership Create and maintain systems engineering artifacts to model system behavior Lead the architecture and technical implementation of a net-centric scalable IoT system that can operate in connected and disconnected states Take end-to-end responsibility for system enhancements Interface with Program Managers for planning and providing regular status updates Lead the technical evaluation of platforms and technologies, tools, architecture and design, performance analysis, and vendor selection Requirements: 7+ years' experience in the development of complex software-driven systems Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field Active Full-Scope Polygraph Ability to lead the logical and systematic conversion of customer or program requirements into solutions acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints Experience with Intel networks, software, and system development Experience with the development of processes and tools used to support analysis and testing of system functionality and performance during development Ability to interface with customers from both a technical and programmatic context Ability to work closely with Program Managers and Chief Engineers to document, manage, and communicate systems and software requirements
