BlueHalo is hiring a Systems Engineer/Administrator to support the Satellite Control Network (SCN) Operations, Remote Site and Mission Partner Support (STORMS) contract at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Systems Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance, sustainment, operation, and configuration of Federal Augmentation System (FAS) resources. They will also ensure other Satellite Control Network (SCN) equipment is maintained and operating in accordance with site policies and contract requirements. Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer Mission Systems (to include operating systems, software and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintains system integrity, and upgrades systems and/or servers as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/systems operations and implement changes to procedures. Responsible for applying interdisciplinary engineering skills in the technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for complex solutions or products. These solutions or products may encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines and may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, time-line analysis, and detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into technical specifications. This position is 100% on site at Schriever SFB. Infrequent travel may be required to the following locations as needed: Albuquerque, NM; Wallops, VA; Fairbanks, AK. Required: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related field with 7 years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix. Strong understanding of network protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience with server hardware, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of security best practices, firewalls, VPNs, and data protection. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automating tasks. Familiarity with database management and administration (SQL, MySQL, Oracle). Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and execution. Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance, or higher.
