Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Network/System Engineer
Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Location: Fully onsite in Blacksburg
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Team Size: 6-person team managing classified systems
Responsibilities:

• Specialize in the Windows System. Responsible for the installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Manage the application/server environment.

• Provide support in a Windows Server 2019 environment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve general desktop issues and assist users with applications

• Remediate government vulnerabilities on systems

• Support research customers in an intelligence environment (non-DoD)

• Work primarily in a physical environment with no current migrations

• Utilize tools provided by the customer on a government network

• Learn and adapt to an established environment
Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with PowerShell (no scripting experience required)

• Certifications: CCNA, Net+, Sec+ (not required from day one but will need to obtain)

• Strong troubleshooting and installation skills

• Knowledge of group policy management
