TITLE: Systems Engineer with ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI clearance issued by DOD (US Citizenship is REQUIRED) LOCATION: 100% Onsite in Aurora, CO 80010 (no relocation package) RATE RANGE: $55/hr - $66/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract) DURATION: 12+ months contract or Contract to Hire No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer. Your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with implementing a modern approach to systems engineering - balancing the need for structured requirements with innovation and streamlined processes
Organize and improve templates, documentation, and workflows to enhance efficiency
Champion Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) by leveraging modern tools like CAMEO to enhance system design and analysis.
Maintain and update CAMEO models, ensuring accurate system representation and requirements documentation
Drive the early stages of development, transforming concepts into structured requirements and system models.
REQUIREMENTS Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Experience with systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation Experience in Satellite Command/Control Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) Development experience on a government contract PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases Experience with MBSE, CAMEO or Agile/Scrum (a plus).
