Systems Engineer- SDA Scottsdale, AZ Contract Position Pay Estimated: $54.77-$59.77/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.) Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains. Responsibilities: Develop and deploy next-generation ground operational systems supporting secure and complex mission environments.
Support the engineering lifecycle including requirements definition, system design, integration, and verification.
Utilize systems engineering principles, modeling tools, and requirements management processes.
Contribute to enterprise-wide software configuration, deployment, and system updates.
Coordinate with software suppliers and manage version control across multiple platforms.
Implement IT Service Management practices and tools such as ServiceNow.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of configuration management databases.
Apply innovative thinking to solve technical challenges and contribute to system development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field required.
2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance required.
Strong foundation in systems engineering concepts, principles, and industry standards.
Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools.
Familiarity with IT configuration management databases and enterprise-wide software update deployment.
Proficiency with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Experience managing multiple software suppliers and tracking update cycles.
Preferred Qualifications: Background in satellite communications and ground-to-satellite data transmission.
