The Hypersonics Advanced Programs team is looking for a Systems Engineer Asc, to execute a research and development flight test demonstration project. In this role, you will:
• Be accountable for developing, updating, coordinating, and supporting verification of a subsystem requirement specification

• Perform Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development with a lean minimum viable product approach

• Create MBSE views and artifacts, such as requirement gap analysis, traceability, interfaces, and verification mapping

• Derive requirements and interfaces and support specification development in DOORS

• Support assessments of key performance parameters, technical performance measures, and requirement compliance
• Support formal system design reviews

• Support interface definition and integration of subsystems and components across the broader system

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines across a small, (hypersonic) fast-paced, dynamic program; adapting to the rapidly changing environment of a development program on a challenging schedule

• Use your excellent communication skills and self-motivating drive to work across Lockheed Martin business areas to progress towards a common goal

• Promote a positive teamwork culture within a small, diverse team spread across multiple sites Typically has a technical degree and less than 2 years of professional experience. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or technical field, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering

• Experience writing requirements specifications and technical documentation

• Experience as a systems engineer executing a missile development program and achieving a successful flight test

• Proficient with DOORS

• Proficient in SysML, UML, XML, HTML, Javascript, MagicDraw

• Proficient with system modeling tools and methods (Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, MapleMBSE, CORE, etc.)

• Experience developing PowerPoint slides and formally briefing customers

• Active Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $66,200 - $114,655. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
