Active Top Secret (TS) What You Will Do : Guidehouse is looking for an experience d S ystems E ngineer at the Subject Matter Expert (SME) level with experience in supporting federal organizations . Your duties will be in support of a federal client 's cybersecurity infrastructure and platforms . Your duties will include coordinat ing, designing, developing, and performing additions and changes to network hardw are, infrastructure server environments, operating systems, attached devices as well as the investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software. Day-to-day tasks include some or all of the following: Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
Direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
Troubleshooting the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols.
Participating in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
Perform systems management and integration functions.
Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
Provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government.
Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems.

Responsible for design, deployment, evaluating, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base storage & backup system, but for all features, components, and application dependencies.
Ensuring systems are current with approved patches and assists with certification and system accreditation tasks, composes SOPs, and Quick Reference guides for users.
Providing top-level technical expertise responsible for design and development of a client/server environment.
Developing strategy of client/server system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
Advising on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
Setting standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization.
Advising of feasibility of potential future projects to management. What You Will Need : An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
EIGHT (8) or more years' experience in Information Technology
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory
Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization and ATO processes
Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance. What Would Be Nice To Have : TEN (10) or more years of experience in Information Technology
Preferred Certifications: - Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, - VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), - Certified Informa on Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations
Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM)
Experience with VMWare vSphere 7 experience
Experience with Cisco Networking
Proficiency with virtualization technologies and network administration.
