QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a
Systems Engineer to join our team at
Fort Belvoir, VA to support our Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PM FPS) contract.This is a hybrid role with one day in the office per week.
Duties: - Evaluates, defines, analyzes, and recommends strategies and potential systems to meet force protection threats and integration of emerging technology to augment systems under development.
- Analyzes the PM FPS programs/systems for integration, fielding, demonstration, experiments, exercises, and testing.
- Coordinates program office activities relating to systems engineering with external stakeholders.
- Participates in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (such as System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, etc.) and assists in defining appropriate entrance and exit criteria for those reviews.
- Supports payload/system integration with Army host platforms at both Government and third-party test sites, to include hardware installation, software integration and interoperability test, and system functionality and performance verification.
- Provides technical recommendation on integration of emerging capabilities into PM FPS systems.
- Receives and reviews reliability and documents from the Combat Developer, assesses feasibility of user requirements, reviews and refines failure definition and scoring criteria for reliability, and provides feedback.
- Supports the review and analysis of engineering change proposals and value engineering change proposals.
Required Clearance: - ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required. Degree preferably in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Five (5) years of applicable systems engineering experience preferably in a DoD acquisition program office or similar organization.
Travel: Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment: This position will be co-located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
