OVERVIEW: The Systems Engineer I is responsible for maintaining and administration of all IT enterprise applications and server environments, on-prem and hosted. Working with Systems Engineer II & III; helps to research, design, and implement new technologies, services, and solutions supporting Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Administrative knowledge in enterprise level technologies related to virtualization, Microsoft server, core infrastructure, redundancies and topologies, applications, implementation, and maintenance.
- Contributes to the administration of enterprise server build, IaaS, and hypervisor platform standards.
- Administration of Active Directory, Azure AD, domains, and related services.
- Adheres to and proposes enhancements to standard operating procedures, policies and guidelines for virtualization, Microsoft server technologies, core infrastructure technologies, redundancies and topologies, application architecture, implementation, and maintenance.
- Administration of enterprise patching and patch management policies and platforms.
- Administration of on-prem and hosted enterprise applications, server environments, datacenter hardware, environmental controls, and monitoring, ensuring continued application, server, and environment health.
- Contributes to the evaluation, procurement, asset management, and disposition of systems datacenter, power, environmental monitoring, and storage hardware and software.
- Administers datacenter hardware and environmental monitoring systems.
- Administration and monitoring of backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Adheres to enterprise application and server environment policies and SLA's ensuring availability in alignment with business needs and expectations.
- Contributes to the creation and continuous updates to departmental knowledgebase and other documentation.
- Mentor other IT technical staff within the information technology group based on areas of responsibility and expertise and acts as escalation point for incidents and issues.
- Collaborates with the corporate IT security team to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Teams licensing, application policies, functionality, user voice policy assignment, UI Configuration, and user permissions.
- Engages with end users to help establish solutions for various platforms including Teams, SharePoint, Stream, and Call Center related applications.
- This position requires consistent, in-person attendance. However, based on the employee's performance and the specific task the employee is accomplishing, limited remote work may be permissible.
- Travel to multiple locations during shift.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of IT experience
- Valid driver's license
- Internal candidates must be a Desktop Support Specialist III or higher for a minimum of 6 months
Preferred Qualifications - At least 1 year of systems administration experience
- Experience in one of the following areas: Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualization (Nutanix, Hyper-V and/or VMware), Hyperconverged Platform, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, or Azure
- Healthcare related application support experience strongly
- SaaS, IaaS, PowerShell, and enterprise systems and backup management experience
