Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a System Engineer 2 to join our team in Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) on the Warfighter Simulations and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train (ART). The WSS ART offers opportunities to support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of Modeling and Simulation applications used in warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment. This position is located on-site and does not have a remote option. Relocation assistance is not available if not local. What You'll Get to Do: This position requires a systems engineer to support the development of modeling and simulation software and services for air and missile defense systems. The candidate will work in a team environment designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating simulation products and services for the WSS ART. Primary responsibilities include developing requirements, testing new capabilities, documenting new features, and analyzing simulation performance. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with WSS customers via event support and training events, as well as presenting technical briefings to WSS stakeholders. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience
Systems Engineering Lifecycle background including requirements derivation
Working knowledge of Agile and SAFe development methodologies
Working knowledge of Software Development and Support Functions such as Configuration Management, Data Management, and Quality Assurance
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Applicants must have an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently and in groups equally well; must be a self-starter
Excellent time management
Certifications: INCOSE ASEP, OCSMP - MU, Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program from an accredited university, Agile Scrum, SAFe
Experience in applying model-based methodologies to process management
Understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S), specifically for ballistic missile systems
Knowledge of software design and performance in IT infrastructures, networks and cloud solutions
Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
Experience with Cameo for Model-Based Systems Engineering

Flexible Work Arrangements Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
