Overview We are seeking an emerging authority with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years with a related Master's degree. Top 3 Requirements Strong knowledge of DoD and missile defense architectures, system concepts, mission objectives, and standard test and data analysis techniques. Ability to collaborate within an integrated team to define operational, physical, functional, and technical architectures for evolving projects. Proficiency in creating system engineering artifacts, including Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, and Trade Studies. Key Responsibilities and Skills Design systems using COTS/GOTS components, ensuring DoD interoperability. Identify, define, and communicate system capabilities to diverse stakeholders, including developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users. Produce architecture artifacts to document and guide capability development. Collaborate with systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop integrated solutions. Utilize architecture expertise to define system capabilities and create high-quality artifacts. Analyze high-level requirements and refine them into integrated hardware and software solutions using a structured approach. Lead project components and communicate technical approaches and findings clearly (written and oral). Engage effectively with customers and related system programs. Desired Skills and Experience Familiarity with systems engineering tools like DOORS for requirements management and Object-Oriented requirements definition. Knowledge of system-of-systems definition, integration practices, and capability fielding. Certified architect credentials or equivalent expertise is highly desirable
