Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical and procedural issues.
  • Experience providing desktop and technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Ability to manage projects and tasks independently, track progress, and follow through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders across the university.
  • Familiarity with FERPA, open records laws, and handling sensitive data within legal and policy frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with SQL and general comfort working with databases.
  • Experience using the Banner Student Information System, .NET applications, Degree Works and tools such as CourseLeaf Section Scheduler (CLSS), 25Live room scheduling software, CampusESP, and Logi (BI) reporting.
  • Exposure to project coordination or participating in system implementations.

Job Description:

Provide senior-level technical support to the Office of the University Registrar with a focus on system security, compliance, and operational support. This position serves as a critical point of contact for technology troubleshooting, open records coordination, and the implementation of Registrar-related projects and process improvements.

Job Duties:

System Access and Security

  • Assist with SIS and third-party system access requests, ensuring appropriate permissions and compliance with university policies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain secure access to student data systems.
  • Track and audit system access, assisting with periodic reviews and documentation.


Open Records and Legal Compliance
  • Serve as the Registrar's primary liaison for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and open records requests, working in coordination with the Office of General Counsel.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely extraction of requested records while maintaining data privacy and integrity.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting
  • Provide hands-on support for software and hardware issues within the Registrar's Office, including troubleshooting PCs, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff experiencing technology issues and coordinate with ITAC or TR for escalated support when needed.

Project and Ticket Management
  • Submit, track, and test enhancement requests, system changes, and report development tickets on behalf of the office.
  • Collaborate with internal users and IT teams to refine requests, ensure testing, and support smooth implementation.
  • Represent the Registrar's Office in planning meetings for new processes, reports, systems, or tools that rely on our data or input.

Website and Systems Maintenance
  • Assist with maintenance and updates to the Registrar's website and other internal systems or forms.
  • Coordinate testing and implementation of system upgrades or changes impacting Registrar functions.

Other Duties as Assigned
  • Support special projects and ad hoc data needs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and follow procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional office culture.
