Where you'll work: This is an onsite opportunity where you will report to the customer's location in Port Hueneme, CA. An average day: As Systems Analyst/Engineer II you will focus on supporting and enhancing IT systems through requirements gathering, design, integration testing, and cross functional collaboration. This role helps maintain reliable, secure services while aligning technical solutions with broader organizational needs. In this position you will: Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify system requirements, translating them into practical technical solutions. Perform integration testing and quality assurance to confirm that new or updated applications meet operational goals. Troubleshoot issues with servers, networks, and applications, collaborating with cross functional teams to find root causes. Provide technical configuration and support for specialized systems, such as telecom or voice/video infrastructure. Document system changes, operational procedures, and SOPs, maintaining robust configuration management records. Participate in data analytics and reporting efforts, using metrics to drive system enhancements. Train end users on newly deployed features, ensuring a smooth transition to updated systems. Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify potential bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with security teams to implement updates, patches, and secure configurations. Assist in system patches, upgrades, and migrations by following established change management protocols. Offer insights on capacity planning for systems and applications, aligning resources with projected demand. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, knowledge base content, and user guides. Contribute to solution design efforts, using prototypes and testing cycles to refine technical approaches. Communicate project statuses, risks, and milestones to team leads and ensure stakeholder alignment. Research emerging tools and technologies for potential integration, assessing their feasibility and ROI. Basic Qualifications: As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions. An Associate's degree in a technical field; in lieu of a degree, an additional 3 years of hands on systems engineering experience may be substituted. A minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on analysis, design, or operational support across diverse IT environments. Experience with IT operations, including server administration, basic networking, or telecom systems. Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, STIG) if applicable. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, applications, or databases. IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570 requirements. Operating System certification relevant to the specific environment being supported. Some exposure to scripting or programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to transform technical specifications into clear guidelines. Solid collaboration skills, enabling coordination with multiple technical teams and stakeholder groups.
